What to Expect

We know coming to a new venue, or a venue that has changed can be daunting, here is a video of what you can expect to find when you come to MKEC

I am text block. Click edit button to change this text. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

When you arrive, drive up the main drive and bear right at the top.  This takes you along our top facilities section, including our outdoor arena, Grass Show Jumping and Dressage Arena.

The sign-in hut is in this area, there is usually someone here to meet you.  All riders must sign in on arrival.

As you can see there is plenty of parking in this area.

Once signed in, if you are using our top facilities you can park up and make your way to the facility.  There are mounting blocks available should you need them.

There is a toilet in this area and horse & rider first aid kits.

If you are using the Main or Mini XC courses you  may have the option to continue on the road, down the hill to our small car park at the top of the course if there is space.  Park in this area and head off to the courses, there is a toilet in this carpark.  If you prefer to park in our top car park and hack down that’s fine too.

From the bottom car park you can head off to the Mini XC or the Canter track which are sign posted or the Main XC which is split into 3 fields.  The right hand field contains the most jumps, the central field is good for hacking with a few jumps, the bottom left field has the water complexes and additional jumps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please find a list of our frequently asked questions, if you have a question that’s not listed feel free to email or call us

Answer: That depends on what facility you are using, online bookings each have their own limit.  If you want to book more horses than the system allows give us a call and we will see what we can do

Answer:  Main XC slots are 2hrs, Mini XC slots are 1.5hrs, All other facility slots are 1 hour.

Answer: Please see our ‘what to expect’ section. All riders must sign in at the hut before using any facilities

Answer: We have several options, when booking through the website, you have the option of card payment (Stripe), Paypal or to bring cash on the day.  If you are a phone booking you can still bring cash or pay by Paypal, or I can send a secure link to pay via a card (Zettle).  If you are holding a clinic or camp you will receive an invoice.

Answer: You do need to book, the easiest way to book is via our website,  however if you decide at the last minute that you want to pop and visit us you will need to phone on 07810 120 498 to book a slot.

Answer: Our courses are well maintained however sometimes you may cause or see some damage, please just make a note of the jump number, take a photo if possible, and let us know as soon as possible so that we can make the necessary repair

Answer:  We understand that loading a horse and traveling can make timings a bit difficult, we advise you to allow plenty of time as some of our facilities have back to back bookings.  You can arrive up to 30 minutes before your booking starts.  If you arrive too early you may have to wait until a member of staff arrives.  If you are going to be more than 30 minutes late please phone us to let us know

Answer: We open the gates around 30 minutes before the first booking and close 30 minutes after the last booking has finished. The earliest the gates are open is 7.30am and the latest we close them is 8.30pm.

Answer:  We keep our facilities well maintained however, horse riding is dangerous.  Accidents/falls do occasionally happen, and if they do we have a protocol in place.   We have first aiders on hand to help you should you need it.  Please ensure you are aware of our Emergency Information – available in the sign-in hut.

Answer: We have various camps during the summer, some of which are independant (not RC or PC) and therefore open to everyone.  Please see our calendar for Camps or contact us directly for more details.  If you would like to run your own camp then please call us.

Clinics are held regularly on site, again if you check our calendar you will see any upcoming clinics.  If you would like to run a clinic on site, please call us.
